Chevrolet Bolt Electric Vehicle Makes Regional Debut at 2017 Dubai International Motor Show

With Segment-Leading Driving Range and Performance, the Chevrolet Bolt Electric Vehicle (EV) is Poised to be at the Heart of Dubai’s Green Mobility Initiative

DUBAI – Today, at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, Chevrolet announced that within a year, car buyers in Dubai, UAE, and select markets in the Middle East will be able to order the Chevrolet Bolt EV.

Already a game changer in the electric vehicle space in its home market and abroad, the Chevrolet Bolt EV is packed with innovation. It is one of the most affordable and practical long-range electric vehicles on the market today.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV can achieve more than 500 kilometres* of range on a single charge, with the ability to store 150 kilometres worth of range in just a 30-minute charge.

Chevrolet Middle East is gearing up to change the region’s motoring landscape. With the Chevrolet Bolt EV’s remarkable performance and usability, the brand will contribute towards the region’s drive to sustainable, smart mobility.

Speaking during the press conference, Mario A. Spangenberg, President and Managing Director at General Motors Africa and Middle East said: “Dubai’s pioneering Green Mobility Initiative targets are bold, and we look to be equally bold and make Chevrolet a reliable partner, with the Chevrolet Bolt EV forming the backbone of these fleets. We aim to support both retail and fleet customers in their quest to achieve zero emissions mobility as soon as possible.”

The Chevrolet Bolt EV’s electric propulsion drivetrain is powered by one of the most advanced batteries with a capacity of 60Kwh.This electric drive develops 360 Nm of instant torque, and an output equivalent to 204 horsepower.
